There’s something magical about telling a whole story in just a few minutes. Whether it's capturing a moment, a feeling, or a creative process, I love using short-format video to bring people closer to the heart of an idea. My work is grounded in real connection—authentic stories, local voices, and visual moments that stay with you.
JOSHJOSH
When musician JoshJosh began working on his Ikigai EP, he set out to do more than just release music—he wanted to share stories. Inspired by the Japanese concept of Ikigai (meaning “reason for being”), Josh collaborated with a range of local creatives from Sydney’s Northern Beaches, each of whom had shaped his journey in some way.
Together, we brought those stories to life—filming in breweries, painters’ studios, and even camper vans. The result was a series of intimate, energetic short films that reflect not only Josh’s music but the vibrant creative community that surrounds it.
Josh describes the EP as more than just a collection of songs—it's a reflection of his personal journey from darkness to rediscovering purpose and hope. It was a true joy to be part of this project and help craft a layered visual representation of Josh’s music.
Ikigai explores the intersection of four elements: what you love (your passion), what the world needs (your mission), what you are good at (your vocation), and what you can get paid for (your profession). Collaborating with Josh on this project felt like an Ikigai moment in itself—creative, meaningful, and deeply aligned.
